I see all the people on here in the under 6' mark. i want to gain weight. I am 6'6" and have never been over 130lbs. I have tryed everything. i eat like a pig. tryed the wehy protean and all that. nothing seems to help.

I'm referring to those that recommend "talking to your doctor".....that is a farce. I had emergency ruptured gallbladder surgery recently, and the five days I spent in the hospital, I talked to several doctors and they all admitted they don't learn about nutrition in medical school. All they learn from the pharmaceutically operated medical schools is medicine and surgery as cures. Very disappointing since I am 99 lbs. and can't seem to gain an ounce, even with six small meals a day. Doctors don't have time to study "outside the box"....and when they do, they switch to becoming naturalpathic doctors because they realize they are not keeping their patients healthy, just treating them when they are sick.

I recently celebrated my 21st birthday. Im a 6'1 girl who weighs a measly 125 pounds. a couple months ago my guy had me going to the gym with him (he's a mesomorph) where we would work our lil butts off! I really wanted to get in shape because I had never really worked out before and was tired  always being looked at as if I was sick, suffering from anorexia or bulimia. little did everyone know I EAT ALL THE TIME!!! after a while I ended up haveing a number of issues come up within my life. Having a close friend pass away, Changing careers, and moving over seas. ALOT to manage. well during this time, I'm not sure if the stress was the large reason why, or the fact I wasn't exercising anymore, or if my body was just saying "f**k you!" but my weight started to plummet. I haven't weighed myself in a couple weeks but the last time i did i was only 118 pounds. Im still eating a lot, if not MORE than before and can't seem to gain the weight. Ive been to doctors checking my thyroid- says its working great. and autoimmune doc who couldn't find anything wrong but who also put in my records i was anorexic though telling him otherwise.Never receiving any help on why this is happening to me. Ive even considered the fact I may have a tapeworm growing inside of me. I feel like Im an extreme case and Have just today found more information about what an Ectomorph means. so I'm gonna try what the internet tells me in the regards to exercise and nutrition since Im not in my country where I can go to the doctor…. Its frustrating always being seen as sick when I eat not only all the time but also quite healthily. guess ill give it a few weeks and see how this goes… if anybody has any tips Id really appreciate it. I know many are posted above, and i will take them all into consideration..

IM SORRY, BUT IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO GAIN WEIGHT. NOT EVERY BODY'S BODIES WORK THE SAME. I TOO HAVE A VERY HIGH METABOLISM. I AM 32 YEARS OLD 5FT4IN TALL WITH TWO KIDS AND I BARELY WEIGH 110LBS. IF I MISS A MEAL I MAY LOSE WEIGHT IN DAYS. I RECENTLY WENT TO MY DOCTOR AND HE PRESCRIBED A MEDICINE THAT BOOSTS MY APPETITE. IT IS USED TO TREAT DIFFERENT THINGS FROM ANOREXIA TO SINUS COLDS.... YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT PRESCRIBING PERIACTIN. IT WORKS WONDERS!!

This is a very hard thing to deal with, especially if you are a young adult in certain areas where drug use is very prominate. Everybody automatically assumes I'm on drugs because of my age (25) and size (5'7" 107 lbs). I'm currently trying to find ways to gain weight safely.

Everybody can gain weight, but there's no doubt that it's extremely difficult. I'm 21 years old, 6'5'' tall and my weigh is 65 kg. I'm working out 6 times a week, with a split program, using every single muscle group each a day. I eat 4000 kcal/day, which means my average weight gain is about 2-3 kg per month. The biggest difference between me and  everyone ells, is that I really want this, I've dedicated all of my time trying to gain more weight. My main goal is to weigh 80 kg before 2014, but my sub goal is to weigh 70 kg before June 2013. I've actually created a blog, where you can follow my project, and download my workout as well as my diet program. I also got a Facebook Fan Page, where my followers can read about my project, as well as reading others successfull news.

hey is this good im 12 about to turn 13 in july 5'5" tall and only weight 85lbs. i hate it soo much peaple are like you need to eat more and do you eat and sometimes they call me skinny or toothpick or stick that gets on my nerves soem times after school im like i should kill myself or like i hate my life i eat alot tho i eat breakfast lunch dinner fruits and chips every :'(single day i dont get it please help me.

Having a weight of 108 doesn't mean your the lightest out there, there are many people with your situation. That's a normal weight. Plus when you grow up and your in your late 20's you maybe wishing your this light as you are right now. It's nothing to worry about. Just think of it as a way of eating all you want and never getting fat.
