I have had a misdiagnosed torsion of the right testicle which resulted in it dying and being removed

Maybe 6 months after that I am sure the varicocele started and was left untreated mainly because of an incompetent ultrasound technician suggesting it was nothing

4 years later I had another one because the dull ache got worse and a growth was forming

I am going in soon to the the surgery done

What are the chances I can still have kids?I am now 27

Hi Guest,

You can still father a child with one testicle.  Yes, a variocele can cause a lower sperm count but we can only guess as to what, if any, impact it has had on your sperm count.

Your urologist is your best resource.  He knows the specifics of your case.

Good luck.
