This exact same thing happened to me. I haven't been doing crunches or any serious workout stuff, just a lot of running. I think it has something to do with the pressure in your abdominal area as you're getting into shape.

Nurse for over 10 years. Fiber does not cause diarrhea. Although I do recommend a fiber supplement to everyone, digestive problems or not, it actually helps with diarrhea. I'm a Gi nurse btw. Any changes in diet or exercise can cause disturbances in the GI tract. Simply put, your body has to get used to the change.
