I think I'm suffering from depression but I'm not sure. Though I'm 13 have all the symptoms. I haven't tried to commit suicide but I have thought of the perks to it. I feel so empty and alone. I'm constantly tired. Cry a lot. Don't want to do the things I used to enjoy. I have been separating myself from my friends because i dont feel worthy of people's company. I haven't been eating as much as I did before. I constantly have headaches. Basically to sum it up, I feel worthless and insecure. Am I depressed?

Hi Guest
Sorry to hear that you are going through such a rough time.
First and foremost you are not worthless you’re a person that is going through a difficult time at the moment.
You are worthy of your friends company and support and any true friend will stick by you and support you as well because everyone goes through tough times and when we are struggling our friends can help a great deal.
There are no perks to the act that you sometimes think about, you can and will get past the way you’re feeling.
You have taken the first step of your journey towards wellness and you should be very proud of yourself for recognizing that something is wrong and for reaching out for help.
Please talk with your parents and tell them how you have been feeling and get them to either take you to your local hospital or if you can get into see your family doctor right away get them to make an appointment for you.
Your doctor or local hospital will have lots of information for services that are available to help you.
Talking with your school councillor is also an option and another place to find the help and support you need.
There is no need for you to try and deal with this on your own the help is out there and you have taken that very important first step towards getting it.
Please continue to reach out and ask for and except that help that is available to you.
You have shown great strength in recognizing that something is not right and being able to cope as well as you have on your own is something to proud of.
With the strength you have within you and getting addional help and support from the services in your community you will find that your negative feelings and doubts will start to disappear.

Maybe your low in Serotonin and dopamine. get some tryptophan and L-Tyrosine, they are amino acids that will help build up your low neurotransmitters. They way you feel and act are mainly due to brain chemistry. Thats why eating healthy is so importaint.
