I don't think that i am fat as such. I have checked bmi websites and i am a healthy weight. it is just that every time i look in the mirror in my eyes i seem to expand. i am 12 years old, 5ft 2" and i weigh 117lbs. My mum keeps telling me to get over it and that i am not fat and that there are much more important things to worry about and that i should enjoy myself. However this doesn't help me. I don't have an eating disorder and i like eating sweet stuff and crisps but i feel really guilty after i have eaten them. i don't want to see a counsellor cause i know it won't help. These days i spend a lot of time in my room crying. my family is getting a bit ticked off. It doesn't help that all my friends seem so confident even though some of them are bigger than me. i need help!!!!!!!!! :'(

I think you should ask your doctor to give you the answer to that question. At your age you still probably are going to get taller so your weight will change accordingly. You maybe should just pay attention to your diet and make sure you eat healthy and excercise. If you have a little more weight than you should it will more than likely level out as you add inches in height. Don't be hard on yourself.

Hi, you are in the age where your body will grow up higher. By measures that you have given, you really are not fat. You are just starting to develop your body, and you will experience many changes in next few years. It is very important for you not to worry too much about this. You need to focus on other things, like school. Try to find a sport or some activities that will take your mind of this.
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

It sounds like you are having a hard time right now and if you haven't already seen a counselor, I think that you should consider it. Now I know that you said that you don't think that it will help but believe me it will! I didn't believe it at first either but I have been through therapy (most people have actually) and it really helped. If you don't, you could quite possibly develop an eating disorder so it's best to act now. Keep us posted, okay?
