Hi, I have IBS for several years. Gas, constipation, and bloating have bothered me all that time. However, it’s getting serious now, because I start having abdominal left-side pain. I don’t know why is this pain appearing now, and is it connected with IBS. Any idea?

Hi, I am 38 years old and have the same problem. Pain on the left side is sometimes unbearable. It is appearing one hour after the meal, and usually ends with passing wind or after a bowel movement. However, when I have constipation, the left-side pain is torturing me for days. It happens often that I have left-sided pain when I fall asleep in bad position right after a meal. I wake up with cramps, and can’t move. I know it is just a consequence of IBS, so I can’t teat those thing separately. First, I have to cure IBS, and left-side pain will disappear. I thought of trying some herbs, such as fennel. I heard it is very good for gas and bloating.
