so yeah, I'm 16, and I dont masturbate, I dont feel any urges to masturbate, and a lot of people ((friends online mostly) have told me to watch porn because it helps, and quite frankly, porn disgusts me, its revolting, so my main question being, is there something wrong with my for thinking/acting like this? because i've been a little worried because everyone I know and have spoken to reckons that they masturbate, yet I dont.... please any advice is appreciated...
also yes I have TRIED masturbating, and it is painful, feels more like a burning sensation more than pleasure..... and the skin looks red raw afterwards too....

Hi Ddraig,

There is NOTHING wrong with you at all.  You're normal.  You've tried it, don't like it, that's fine.

So what if everyone you know masturbates.  If they jumped off a bridge, would you?

Hope it helps.

Yes I think you are a very normal youngman, there is a small percentage of young folks that feel just like you do. Not everyone is pleased with doing what friends and other do, it all in the kinds of things you feel about doing to yourself. It might be something that you will change your mind on or you may not. You just keep on feeling like you do and don't turn against those that do feel different about it.

Hmm, but you like the idea of sex and have no problem getting turned on right? I think you're normal, but the same thing just doesn't work for everyone, plus if you don't like porn for it's disgusting side you're probably sweet ^ ^ and that's fine too, one day though if you do have sex maybe use some lubricant because you'd probably want to slide in and out as slick as you can

Sounds Fine to me, That burning may be due to the way you masturbate, If you masturbate dry it general won't feel to good. Have you tried any sort of lubricant. Sop and water would be a good start. But then again if you really don't want to, Who cares its generally not anyone else's business to begin with, although your thoughts on it may be judged based on your first time. It may be worth another go. All that being said if never hurts to see a Doctor. I consult a doctor when ever I feel something odd about my body. Hope this Helps
