I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism recently. I had blood examinations that showed increased concentrations of t3 and t4 hormones. I’m about to undergo neuro-ophtalmologic test because of visual disturbances that have. I think that test consists from several separated test but am not sure which they are. Would like to get that information. Thanks in advance.

Neuro ophthalmologic exams take longer than routine eye exam. It requires additional tests like head scan, MRI or CT, retina, blood vessels and cardio tests. Also visual field test is performed. Neuro- ophthalmologist always work closely to physicians because deal with systemic problems and diseases. I think that which test is performed also depends on general patient’s health and disease that is cause of ophthalmic disorder.
