I'm 18 years old and am not sexually active. One day I looked down there and noticed my hymen seemed cut open, sort of looks like an cross incision had been made on my thick hymen. I was very worried as to how this had happened as I've never been penetrated, never tried using tampons or anything has been inserted up. I do remember as a small child ( 4-6 years old) I had to be rushed to the hospital because I complained I was unable to urinate, and two nurses I believe had to operate on me down there. I remember they put a diaper under me and I was in pain. And there was a lot of blood and I was in tears. I don't remember much else other than that. I'm too afraid of asking my mom what this operation was for and was hoping you guys could help answer these burning questions I have. As I have tried to go back in my medical files and find what my parents agreed the nurses to do to me and why my hymen (which appears to be much more thicker than the hymen I see online which are much thinner than mine) has this cross incision cut. Also why is there piece of my hymen sticking out of my vagina, in lack of better tiny tongue.

Also I forgot to mention that I remember the nurses or doctors, I'm not sure as I was a prepubescent at the time, used this large syringe down there and I remember seeing it being used and it would be full of blood. And also I don't quiet remember if I was constipated or was having a hard time trying to pee that my mom had to rush me to the hospital, but I was having extreme abdominal pain.
