Hello, guys. My little brother has been diagnosed with megaurether. He has also some infection in urinary tract. I would like to know if these two enitites combined together are dangerous. I would really be grateful if someone could tell me something more about this. Thanks for replying. Thank you and bye!

Hello. Ureter is a tube that leads urine from kidney to bladder. Megaureter is expanded or widened ureter. It usually has more than 7 mm in diameter. It does not function properly. Urinary infection can appear more often. It can appear in children younger than 5 which is unusual for children that have normal urinary tract. The doctor will prescribe antibiotics for your little brother. This is not very dangerous, but you should be precautious. People with megaureter can easily get kidney damage. I hope I've helped.
