Hey, I'm a 25 year old male, and I have lately within the last couple months been experiencing a dull ache from my testicle(s). It occurs sometimes intermittently, or for a couple of hours. If I wear a jock strap to support them, the ache seems to diminish or go away, but this is kind of uncomfortable or embarrassing even to wear on a casual basis. The dull ache almost feelings like a pulling sensation. I also noticed like a hard lump at the bottom, one night when the dull ache actually started, or at least I noticed it. I was with my partner, and she had her hands on my testicles as I reached climax, and I remember feeling down there after, and finding the lump. The lump isn't what I'd call a pea shape, and like I said is at the bottom of the testicle.
I freaked out, and began checking them. It was then that I began to feel the dull ache, or pulling sensation. I went to a walk-in clinic as I don't have insurance currently, and got checked out, and was told it was a cyst. I was put on a dosage of cipro (antibiotic), but the lump hasn't decreased in size from what I can tell. It might've even grown. I've also noticed that this testicle is either shrinking, or always been rather smaller than the other testicle. Almost feels like the blood flow is being restricted to the testicle, or it's being kinda cupped tightly. No lumps on the sides.
It's odd because I'll occasionally feel a dull ache in the other testicle too, which I've read it's extremely unusual and rare to have cancer in both testicles at the same time. I checked things out again today, as the dull ache has been occuring more recently lately, since I have been more active, I usually do a mild to medium workout daily, with heavy lifting here and there. Could this be a hernia?
I also noticed that the tube above the testicle leading to it I believe, seems to be inflamed, or is rather swollen. I'm kind of in a panic here, because I want the ache to go away so I can live a comfortable life. I feel like I'm going to lose my testicle or something. Ejaculations have been typical, no blood in semen, or in urine. No real discomfort in the lower abdomen. If anything it's a little odd feeling, which has been affecting my food intake, but that could just be the worry. I've also been rather tired lately, but I haven't been going to bed early really, nor getting too great of sleep, and the side effect of cipro is chronic tiredness.
Any help would be great. I feel like I may have a rather serious problem here. I'm trying to become a police officer, and definitely don't want this to affect my goal. Please reply!

Sounds like it could be a testicular infection. Like Epididymitis. Could also be a varicoele, or whatever. Get it checked out. Intermittent pain wouldn't point to cancer though. If it comes and goes, it's probably not that serious.
