I started taking Ortho tricyclen lo in january. my last period occured 2 wks early during the active pills, on march 4th until 11th. Now i'm bleeding again, that is more than spotting, is this another period? I used a day 1 start, does that have anything to do with it? if so should I try to change to a sunday start, and how do you change your start date.
Sounds like this particular brand of birth control is not working for you. Sometimes women will go thru 2 or 3 different kinds of bc before they find the right one.
The bleeding is not harmful, but it can be annoying.
Give your doctor a call and explain to him what is going on. He probably won't even want to see you, but can flip your script right over the phone with your Pharmacy.
Or....he may tell you to ride it out a bit longer to see if your body will adjust itself.
In the meantime until you get leveled out, make sure to use a condom. Tho you taking bc, you may not be fully protected yet.
