If I have ever had Fruit Fresh in the past, I've ended up with extreme diarrhea. I just went to Subway, and along with a sub I could opt for a "side item". instead of chips, I went with the packets of sliced apples. Before opening them, I noticed their ingredients contain Ascorbic Acid (to keep them from turning brown). Is this the main ingredient found in Fruit Fresh? I'm also 6 mos pregnant. Is this safe to take? I have not opened my packet of apples yet, so would appreciate a quick answer so I can decide whether to finish my lunch. Thanks!
