Alright, bottomline, I think I just need someone to tell me to go to the doctor. But I have never had my asthma be has hard to deal with as it has been this year, so I really don't know what to do/expect.
I got a cold that turned into a URI 2 weeks ago. And my lungs have not felt right since. I have at least probably 2-3 uncontrollable unproductive coughing attacks a day and my peak flows are reduced to ~340 (on a really good day my bests are 430-440). Could this be just the remains of the cold and I just need to suck it up? or is this a separate monster? I really hate the idea of starting on steroids again, but then, I hate the idea of dealing with this and being benched for 6 weeks or wahtever I had this past spring.
Asthmatics, talk to me/lecture me. Whats going on?

RUN to your doc. My theory is, "If in doubt...do it."
Get an answer from your doc so you can be reassurred. Your life and lungs are way too important.
Ok, I'm done "momming".
:pinklove:
PS. You did just run a marathon--and I have heard some people's resistance to illness goes way down after a huge race like that--so your body might be fighting its way back.

Get to your doctor. And see if you could/should also work with an allergist. I've found that my doctor, while very good, just doesn't have the latest drugs and information about allergies and asthma as my allergist.
