Hi there, my understanding is that yes it is pretty normal after that and it should happen for a few more weeks so don't be surprised if it continues. But tahnks for the update. Howa re you doing now?

hey health fitness guy i am distraught i just had a BM and it was not watery and not hard yet i saw blood and it took some time to exit. I am just worried as am a teacher and my sick leave end monday so i will be back at work. I am taking Metamucil 3 times a day 3 prunes , lots a water and 2 bananas plus a high fiber cereal. Damn i wish the stool could exit somewhere else its jus delaying my healing.

Some other posters swear by mineral oil and omega 3 oils, to help the stool pass easier (oily poo? lol) maybe that will help you?

Hopefully you feel better soon and heal completely.

I am always horrified when I see blood. Makes me feel like I will never heal and this will go on forever :-(

Hi there, I think that maybe you are taking in a little too much fiber for your body! I think that if you scale back on it a little bit that your stool should become normal again. What do you think?

yes supporter i just cried as am frustrated because i am on high fiber yet the stool is solid should i stop taking the metamucil stop eating the cereal and just drink mineral oil only am frustrated i really cried literally. I try calling my doc and he wont answer. this surgery cost me 100,000 jamaican dollars. my main question is y is the stool solid despite all those fiber, its not hard but solid. should i take a pill i received even though it make the stool watery?

I think that it would be a pretty good idea to take a stool softener, as it sounds to me like the hard stools are causing you a lot of distress! Don't put yourself thorugh extra pain. How are things going recently for you?
