Is it okay to cut off a wart yourself?

I have effectively removed about 7 different warts around my body without them growing back. 1 First sterilize your scissors or knife with either hydrogen peroxide, vodka, or a form of rubbing alcohol, 2 then cut out your wart but make sure to cut a little bit deeper to make sure the roots of the wart are removed. Once this is finished you are going to start bleeding at a rapid rate.3 Rinse the wound with water and dab with a cloth. Once the blood is cleaned up a bit, 4 grab a ice cube and sprinkle salt onto it and apply to wound. Hold it there to kill the wart all the way through. Once you remove the ice cube you will notice that the skin you placed the ice is white, do not panic the color will come back soon. Lastly 5 clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide or vodka and then apply bandage. Evey day or so check the wound and apply vodka or hydrogen peroxide to insure it does not get infected.

you have to cut it deep, until it bleeds, with a razor blade, put a plaster and it will go away. have to get to the root, just cutting it, is like trimming it.

I just razor bladed a wart off. It's done. I don't have heath insurance right now. So no doctor. I applied alcohol. Bout as far as I can go in guess. See what happens. I did this a few years ago. And it cleared up one which didn't return. Should I compound w this new one?

I have a small, round, shiny wart on the side of my middle finger that ive had since 2001. I remember waking up to a sore, reddish pimple on my finger and i popped it and green puss came out and it hurt badly...then it turned into a wart that ive been using nail clippers to cut off(it doesnt hurt) but 3 days later its growing back and i have to cut it again. This wart is relentless. I tried pharmacy treatments but it hasnt gotten rid of the wart or even slowed it down.

I had a plantar wart for years! Tried those medicated pads and never worked... I kept at it off/on with salicylic acid and skin would peel off in layers. Eventually I tried essential of lavender and I think it's finally gone!

I suffered with multiple warts on my hands when I was younger. I used the treatments with salicylic acid and although they did get rid of the warts eventually, even more warts would grow back. When I was a bit older my aunt told me she cut off her warts when she was young and that got rid of them. That's exactly what I did and I've NEVER had a wart since!

Why is there so much contradiction? I just read that the dark speck in warts is the blood and oxygen supply to the wart. I got a wart on my new tattoo so i really need some sound advice. Kathy. Please and thank youface

I have the same exact problem I have a wart on my foot I know I know they hurt a lot but that one doesn't hurt and it's been there for 4

How long do you have to keep the bandage on? I used teh bandages for a long time, making the wart go white, but I have no clue when to do anything with it

No joke, but I've had the same experience (except I've had the wart since last summer). I keep cutting it with nail cutters and wrap it in a bandage, but it's become so daily that its literally a task for me. :(
