My boyfriend and I had a pregnancy scare because I was a week late. I ended up starting my period, if that's what it even was, but the blood was much darker than usual. Normally, for me they will last 7 days with brown blood at the end. I was supposesd to end my period this past friday. We have not had sex since before my period. Today I am getting light brown discharge. This is not a normal occurance in my cycle. Is it possible that an egg is just now implanting? Afterall I was a week late which I can't recall happening in the past. There is no weird smell either. I am also still bloated from my "period" which will go away half way through menstrual bleeding normally. Has this happened to anyone else? I have heard some women say they have had a period and were still pregnant. So is it possible to have implantation occur after you have a period?

It sounds like you need to go and take a pregnancy test. The bloating associated with your period is also a part of the beginning stages of pregnancy. During pregnancy, it won't go away for several weeks to a couple of months. Not knowing the specific dates of when you normally start your period, when you had unprotected sex, etc, I can't say that you had sex at a fertile time for you.
I recommend ready books on natural birth protection. They will teach you to recognize the signs your body gives you when you are fertile. A women is not fertile at all times, but for only a few days out of the month. If you really aren't ready for children, you need to use something. Be it the natural method, abstinence, bc pills or some other form of contraceptive.
If you do find out you are pregnant and are unable to keep the baby, please look into adoption. Don't take a life.

Oh no, I don't believe in abortion at all. My boyfriend and I have talked about what will happen if I am in fact pregnant. I told him I don't believe in abortion and I wouldn't be able to live myself if I did such a thing. And I brought up adoption, and he said he wouldn't be able to go through the 9 months with just to give the baby away. And I said, well that only leaves one other option then and that is to have the baby and keep her/him. Thanks though, I should probably go buy a test.
