Is major gas and bloating a common sign of early pregnancy?

I am 6 weeks pregnant for the first time and I have unbelievable gas pains and wind. I wake up in the middle of the night with painful gas pains all through my stomach and the only way to get rid of them is to walk around and go to the toilet. I also have a lot of lower abdominal pain on all sides that comes and goes, I get really bad period pain and the abdominal pain is very similar to the pains I get from my period. I have been told the pains are normal. I have had the abdominal pains and wind pains for the last 2 weeks and am hoping they will disappear soon.

My number one tell tale sign of pregnancy and why I took a pregnancy test, sore breasts. They were not ridiculously sore but they were quite tender when I touched them and now they are really really tender all the time.

i am so bloated & gassy it's not funny, I've had random sharp pain in my lower abdomen but I'm not due until next week, I really hope i am we have been trying only 3 months but each period is a slap in the face :-(

Unprotected Sex Dates: 1/3/13| 1/11/13| 1/27/13

1st Day of Last Period: 1/14/13

Cycle Length: 30 days (rather regular)

Days of Spotting: 1/31/13-2/2/13 (4 days)

 

I began to get dull/mild cramping in either the left or right sides of my lower abdomen (one at a time), and sometimes the middle, everyday for a week & a half now. I'm extra gassy, no matter if I've eaten or not! I have been having headaches, especially if I haven't eaten, which isn't as common for me as it has been in the past week and a half. I have not been constipated, but very regular- going nearly everyday, if not several times a day. My nipples don't seem to be changing & I'm not really nauseated. I do feel faint at times, and I'm always tired, but I'm also anemic- not sure if that's playing a roll in me feeling so tired/sleep deprived, since I often feel this way regularly. On 2/11/13, while at work, I stood up too abruptly and this extremely intense tightening (muscle contraction in a way) occured in my lower abdomen. This lasted for about a minute, but it was so bad, I had to stop walking and wait for it to loosen up. Once it was over, it never happened again. The cramping has been mild/ on & off all day, each day, for the most part. None of these cramps have been accompanied by blood, itching, odors, etc. I am expecting my cycle today (2/13/13) and I just have a feeling that I could be preggo.

 

I am never gassy, cramping/bloated unless I'm on my cycle, already! I know that it's normal to sometimes spot between cycles, but I have never had this issue. I know that it may be too soon to test. I tested on 2/11/13, but it was negative, so I decided to wait to see if I miss my cycle. I'm so in tune w my body, so it's driving me crazy to be in the dark about what's happening. As I type this, I just had a bit of mild pain in my left hip area, which came and went, after about a minute. I/we are not trying to get pregnant, but I think that if I am, I would just consider this child a gift & accept it all for what it is! It would come as quite the surprise, but I could live w it. I have a doc appt on the 20th & I will be asking for a blood test, if I don't get my cycle today.  If I am pregnant, I will update you guys!

What was the verdict? were you preggo? I am experiencing the same exact thing except I had no period in February at all..  I will be testing very soon. Waiting for my PT to come in the mail.

Ok so I had my tubes clipped back in 2008 (which I found out through research is not the most effective way of tying tubes, cut and  burned is), me and my boyfriend would like to have a baby. I have 5 days till my period is due, but here are my symptoms, I have gaind 5 lbs, my breasts are not really sore, sometimes tingling, but are fuller than before, the other day I felt a pinching on the right side of my stomach, ( i ovulated on my left as back in 2007 I had an etopic pregnancy and the doctor had to take my right ovary, plus I could feel myself ovualte), I have had mild cramps on my right side right above my hip bone, discharge, gas, bloating, I can barely eat because when I do I feel full after a few bites, then I feel sick the rest of the night like I ate too much. I have done research and found out that the pregnancy rate with tubes tied is very low, but I believe I am a rarity, when I was pregnant with my second son in 2006 I was 7 weeks pregnant when the doctor told me I had an etopic pregnancy along with him in my uterus. Which i was told is a 1 in 1,000,000 pregnancy. That is when they had to remove my ovary because of the other baby. I would have had twins. My question is could I be pregnant? I am really hoping I am. And I know if I am I need to get check for etopic pregnancy.

I've been having the exact same thing happening to me.. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I don't have health insurance.. so it looks like ill be playing the waiting game.. me and my boyfriend have been trying to conceive for months now.. so I. have my fingers crossed.

I have thrown up a few times and the feeling of me vomitting has not went away since friday...i hope that i am preg bc my bf and i are ready for #2. the last addition the our family..hopefullly
