Hello.
I am trying to quit mirtazapine. I was prescribed with this drug for my depression/anxiety problems and went from 22.5 mg per day to 15 mg in just a week because I experienced many difficulties, such as constant hunger and morning fatigue. Now, my anxiety comes back and I'm eager to go through withdrawal. As I can see, 15 mg is the smallest pill available, so to reduce my dosage I must cut it in half? Is it a good idea? Are there any smaller pills? Has anyone had experience with mirtazapine withdrawal and does anyone have any ideas on how to get through it without adding some other drugs?
Hello, Josh.
I'm not familiar with smaller pills than 15 mg, so I suggest using pill cutter rather than any other tool (razor or something similar).
Your withdrawal will depend of your original condition. If depression and anxiety came back during process, it will last longer and will be more difficult. So, you must consult with your doctor about that.
Try meditation and yoga relaxing techniques. It can be helpful for your condition. Drugs are final resort, and I cannot recommend them in any case.
I hope that you'll be cured and cleaned in 4-5 weeks.
Cheers!
