Is the slimy discharge and length of my period normal?

When you have your tubes tied - or any other "trauma" to the sex organs, this can lead to a MAJOR upheaval of your system! And some women i have talked to DO mention wonky periods - the back and forth of NOT having a period, then having a doozy, then spotting etc. I do think it would be a good idea just to talk to your doctor - I don't think anything is wrong at all - I do think it's just a wonky system that needs time to regulate itself! BUT If you feel it's a good idea to get a medical opinion I'm TOTALLY for that! IF you remember back - not that long for your youngest! :-)- then remember after your period was wonky for a bit and you kept on bleeding, stopped, started etc.? This can be the same thing! Granted it was 7 months ago, but depending on hormones, stress, illness, you can have unusual bleeding! So evaluate if you have been having a bad time of it lately - in different capacity's. And IF there is no rhyme or reason I would suggest you see a doctor - to see what he/she says! And please let me know how you make out OK?

The stress has been crazy lately and I knew that when I started stressing that it would affect my period I just didn't think it would cause it to last longer but I guess that is what I get for thinking... Do you have any advice about the really slimy discharge? Its very uncomfortable to wear panty liners to keep from ruining my underwear and making it feel like I am urinating on myself. I have to constantly stop what I am doing to go to the restroom to wipe and I have to wipe like 5-6 times to make sure I am "dry".

Usually discharge is from 1 of 3 things - 1. Your hormones are ALL over the place and you have a higher rate of estrogen 2. You have a yeast infection - can be from stress or recent illness 3. You are overly stimulated - usually a clitoris that is touching EVERYTHING and ANYTHING! and I'm sure you would know if it was #3 LOL! So does the discharge smell or are you itchy or irritated? IF not I do think you need to get a check up about your hormones!

No the discharge doesn't have an odor and I am not itchy or irritated... the only itching is from shaving. I have to constantly wear panty liners and or ultra light tampons. Its not a constant leak but when it does happen its in gobs (only word I could think of to describe it). I am trying to deal with it but the constant feeling of being wet is very disturbing especially when I don't even really get "wet" while being aroused since having my tubes tied. When I went to my Gyn on the 11th she did blood work and a full pap to check for just about everything because I have a history of mild HPV. I had a biopsy and it came back normal when I was like 19. I am now 25 and the GYN said everything is normal... I am so confused about my body and how long it will take before it is back to normal. I have always suffered with having a good bit of discharge around time for my period but its always been a white discharge and never slimy. The only time it was "slimy" was when I lost my mucus plug when I went into labor with my children. Could having 2 C-sections+getting my tubes tied+getting my gallbladder removed have wrecked my body?

I stink like something is dead inside me, and my discharge is heavy, and it's really slimy, and it socks my panties. What do I need to do?
