I was told you couldn't run a normal scan they had to physically go in. When they did they found a cyst on the panvtesd and multiple lesions. No cancer but said it was like something attacked it
Until it's removed and biopsied they don't know. Now there is hope. Dr rudich told me as long as I had 10% functioning pancreas I could survive I don't have that I have no pancreas gall bladder partial intestine removal bile duct transplant. Just hope there's no cancer and you regain 10%. But even if you don't I won't lie it's very difficult without it but it is possible I'm going on 13 years out

Hi.... I'd ask what type of cyst it is? Mine was pre-malugnant. In 2007 they removed the entire pancreas, spleen, duodunum, part of small intestines; liver bile ducts were also relocated, half off stomach, gallbladder, appendix... Uterus and ovaries were taken several years before. I was 50 at the time. I also take the enzymes, I'm on a insulin pump and I take lots of supplements and I'm doing pretty well. Attitude is everything. I'm a motivational speaker and I've put my own skills to use many, many times. I have had 8 family members pass away from pancreatic cancer.

I had my pancreas removed April 25th 2016. I had 1/2 of it removed along with my part of my stomach, gallbladder and trimmings in 1999. I lived with whipple attacks on and off for most of the 16 years betweens surgeries. There were things I could eat and things (like pizza) that I could not. I used to get sick for hours and hours until I was so weak I wanted to give up. In December 2016 I began to feel very very ill and this time it did not pass. By January it was clear I was in trouble and in need of medical intervention. I was unable to eat due to the pain and losing weight at an alarming rate. Eventually I landed in the hands of Dr. Charles Yeo at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He removed my pancreas and spleen which left me an insulin dependent diabetic as well as being enzyme dependent (shame on Creon being priced so no one can afford it!). I swear to you my 16 years of pain are 100% gone, I am so amazed! I wish they took the entire thing back in 1999. I have resumed my active lifestyle and feel great other than the occasional sugar spikes and drops. I am on a Medtronic Insulin pump with CGM and love it. I can even eat pizza and chocolate now without dropping to my knees. I ran 1,000 miles after surgery and a 13.1 too. I tend to try to outdo myself even when the cards are against me. I am scheduled for two full marathons this year (hope I can pull this off) and a handful of fun runs. I honestly can say there is life without a pancreas and for me it is good. I can run, eat, not worry about being ill for the first time in my life. Good rides to bad organs! Peace my friends and good luck!

Please do all you can to get a ctscan ir at minimum blood test to check amylase & lipase as well as CA-120.

Dear people, my pancreas is removed on March 21 this year. With my splene, duodenum and gale-bladder. I try to find people who live without. Until now I have problems with eating. Hello. I have also had the same surgery with a few other organs removed as well. It's been ten years now and I'm currently 59 yrs old.

There are many people living without a pancreas. With insulin, the correct enzymes before meals, sometimes TPN patients can live productive lives. I wouls seelk out a more informed medical group.

I truly feel for you. I lost my pancreas gall bladder spleen 25% of stomach and 25% of intestines due to an inept dr Joseph R Lee of Johnson City Tennessee. Bowel movement pain like no other. Blood sugar levels from 50 to 500. Can't work can't get disability. Live on a friend's couch. I pray and try to find some happiness through all the blur of pain and depression. Good luck to you. My pancreas, gallbladder, duodenum and spleen got removed 14 months ago due to a neuroendocrine tumor (I am 53). Diabetes and digestion management are constantly improving (CREON + IMODIUM). Quality of life is almost as good (75% would say) as it was before although my life changed a lot. Malnutrition and weight requires management as well. Initial weight loss was 11 kg and now around 8 kg. I share the view that the possibility to discuss and exchange experience with people w/out pancreas is vastly reduced ...
