Hi, I don't know whether this is normal for some people but I have quite a large penis when it is flaccid (6 inches) but then when it gets erect it gets shorter and thinner (5 inches) but also when it is erect, it doesn't stand up straight but it goes hard by it stays down. Can you tell me if this is normal for some people as I know that alot of people's penises get longer and fatter and stand up rather than get smaller and lie down.

The penis in most males gets longer and wider when erect.
There are chambers in the penis that fill with blood. As they fill they expand, like a balloon. That causes the erection. In a "normal penis" I do not see how it could get shorter and thinner.
Since you say your penis stays down, if you are having problems, see a urologist. It may be normal for you.
