Hi so embarrassing but I've currently had the IUD copper in for 3yrs now, I've gained a very strong metallic smell downstairs, I've not had sex in over a month & I am pretty worried as I'm always careful and planning too ✨ do it ✨ with someone I am currently seeing, has anyone had this before, is it an infection or anything, btw I've no pain but irregular bleeding Thankyou girls!

In my opinion, it is not necessarily an infection. Metallic smells from an IUD are usually caused by the copper in the IUD.
