Hi a very late reply, but may help others who search in future, I had a culture on a facial lump after a dermal filler, and was told I had Klebsiella Pnuemonaie, how scary, I was put on 21 days of Ciprofloxcin 500mg, to be taken every 8 hours, my culture result also gave meds to try and cure and this antibiotic was on my result to be taken, as many antibiotics are resistant, I have to take for 21days, and then wait a month, before I can have this lump removed by plastic surgeon, its so scary reading about KP, I have only been on my meds for 4 days :( I also have a topical cream, I wanted to share my experience, it may help, I recieved a dermal filler called JUVENI volumiser HA 11 months ago, it was contaminated and has made many ill, I have been unwell and not known why, well I know now and I am very worried, so dont use JUVENI and try the meds I say for KP as my culture results say this ciprofloxacin will kill it.. good luck
