I have been prescribed klonapan for my anxiety and panic attacks. I have experienced waves of attack, which means I would have them for some time then they would disappear. I would like to get off the drug now as I heard it is addictive. I want to try the counseling. Can I stop this drug?
Yes, you are right. Klonopin is potentially addictive. You could stop with it when your attacks are gone, at least this wave. But make sure you don’t go cold turkey, because the withdrawal may cause seizures. You should taper the dosage slowly and see the effect on your anxiety and panic attacks.
