Labia majora tear

Thank you so much for this reply, I literally just had this happen to be and it was very close to about two inches long and I was completely freaking out. Its very comdorting to know that it wont take months to heal. What exactly did youbuse to clean it, just a gentle soap?

Hi I’m not really a consultant but I had a major mishap. I need help and answers. I have done my own self Brazilian waxing for awhile now but it was always with stuff from the store and made a mess. I recently bought Starpil blue film wax I like it. But this time I did exactly as Mandita did and my hair grows not up or down near the labia but inwards towards it. Needless to say the left side went fine but my right side OMG. I torn the inner layer of skin between the lip and thigh. It’s flayed open. Bleed like crazy. Now I’m wondering what to do??? I don’t feel I need a doctor as I know it can heal but just not sure what to do to help it heal and how long it will take to heal. Does anyone have suggestions??? I even took s photo of it, it’s pretty nasty looking. I’d like to heal it quickly loll but have no idea how much time it would take and what to apply on it. This just happened today 6/24/18

Never use peroxide on fresh cuts. It damages tissue. Use saline if you have it. Hibiclens soap is great to keep around for first aid. Emerita makes a great female wash gentle enough to use while healing. I REQUIRED STICHES!!!! Hahahaaaaa I don't mean to laugh but I am so glad I am not alone!!! Licensed Esthetician for years, I did this to myself, waxing at home. I required stiches. The Dr. didn't think I was going to need them until he looked!!!! I had to call a friend to drive me to urgent care. I called my nurse friend for advice. I went back to that Doctor soon many times to make him check that things were healing right. I have some health conditions relating to fragile skin & wound healing, Ehlers-Danlos and FXII mild deficiency, borderline Hemophilia A & more. It took months to feel right. Maybe even a year! Yikes! I was debilitated! Had to call in sick to work and talked about "my pain." I stopped waxing other people as an esthetician. I stopped waxing myself. Waxing is dangerous. Especially of the person is like myself and has not yet know , Undiagnosed health conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos & Borderline Hemophilia! Yikes. Bad news for everyone. Also just saw a case report of a woman suing an esthetician for leaving damage on her cuckalina.
