Hello! I am nearsighted and I don’t like wearing glasses and lenses irritate my eyes. I do wear glasses because I can’t see anything if I don’t but I am not a fan of it. I am thing about a lasik surgery that I heard can correct nearsightedness but I would like to know if there are any risks associated with this procedure. Thank you

All the risks connected with Lasik can be easily treated. They are more like side effects not real risks. You may experience 1. scratchy eyes but you can use drops to relieve this discomfort, 2. watery eyes that go away soon, 3. over and under correction if a doc doesn’t estimate well-can be treated again and like in any surgery there is a possibility of infection but doctors usually give antibiotics (eyes drops) to prevent this.
