so thankful for this post! I have been worried about the same issue and started searching the internet when I found this thread. THANK GOD! I checked and sure enough I had a tampon stuck up there, and was able to get it out myself! THANK YOU!

I can't belive this. I've been experiencing the same bleeding and horrible oder and started to get really worried (thinking, "cancer"). I finally went online to see if anybody else had had the same experience. I read the posts and went to check. To my surprise - and my relief - I did have a tampon lodged inside me.

Add another one to the list! 39 and four kids, obviously too much going on. After cramping and bleeding, finally a FOUL odor, found a tampon WAY up there. Are you kidding me!!??

Seriously ladies check for the tampon before freaking out and going to the docs!!! I couldn't believe it either, but sure enough it was exactly what it was!!!!! Alcohol will possibly make you forget that oh so important step!!! :/

What did you do after you got it out? Did you go to the doctor any health issues?

I didn't need to see a doctor. My body went back to normal completely. I did take extra vitamin C and garlic supplements for a week to support my immune system in case of a possible infection. I also took a few extra baths, just to feel better. ;)

OMG, I was reading this and thought NO WAY there is a tampon inside of me.  I am a freak about personal hygiene but was so sick of having this loom over my head.  Well, as gross as it is, I just checked and you ladies were right!  So glad I checked and I was proven wrong.

OMG!! My husband was actually the one who did the research after I complained about my never-ending bleeding (although light) and smell after my last period. He asked if I could possibly have left a tampon inside of me.. I was like, no way!! But I did eventualy check.. and sure enough.. There was one very nasty tampon.. So gross!! But a simple cure..

This is the most craziest thing I have ever heard of in my entire life. But it really happened to me. I thought maybe people were just making others feel better and whatnot but this really flippin just happened. Seriously. Ladies. Check yourself. I was 100% sure I didn't forget a tampon up there. But I sure did. Holy cow.

OmyLanta! Can't believe this happened to me too! Except I use a cup called Instead. Which makes it more embarrassing!! In my defense you really don't feel it! But still can't believe I did this! The smell was awful! Never had that before. Thanks so much for all these post! Like most of you I was thinking the worse! Even though this is really bad! I'll take over the alternative possibilities. I too want to help other women in this same situation! What a Relief!

OMG!!! I am soo glad that I came across this post! What I thought was a crazy infection was just a tampon stuck in there ! I was having a lot of the same issues you all were! Thank you so much ladies! Glad I found it! Or I'm sure it wouldve turned into something worse!!
