Light Bleeding between period and a Foul Odor

I am 23 yrs old, i got mine light menstruation and foul odor, a week before my due date of my menstruation cycle. ever since i didn't get a problem about my cycle, but on this day i notice some light flow and foul odor of blood coming out. i don't know what happen and to do. so any one please help me. i didn't use any pill.

I, too, just found a lodged tampon! Same symptoms, and at age 35 this has never happened to me either up til now. So bizarre. Had to push to get it out. Thanks all who posted before for saving me a trip to the doctor (at least for now).

I’m 46 and had the exact same issue - during intercourse the smell was unbearable and I knew something was very wrong. After reading this thread I did some “investigating” and sure enough I found a 2 week old tampon!! Problem solved. Thank you!

This was happening to me and turns out I had gotten chlamydia from my long term boyfriend. I’m not trying to worry you, just make sure to get tested just in case cause I hadn’t known for the better part of a year.

Same same. Thanks to this post I did not stop digging. Even though I had checked this before. But missed it. This time I did not give up. All the same symptoms. Finally found it. The string had gotten lodged ABOVE it so could not feel it all. This post made me try again and not give up and I finally found it. Thank you ladies for posting something so incredibly embarrassing because it saved me. I didn’t want to post this, but this post helped me... so feel I need to pay it forward. If you have these symptoms... this is what it is, even if you don’t find it the first time. I don’t even want to tell you how old and educated I am... but trust me... if it happened to me, it can happen to anyone.

Omg, so glad I found this thread. I was having the same symptoms. I'm 41, and NEVER had this happen. My husband and I went to Vegas last week, and I had just started my period. Came home, and a week later we had sex, foul smeeling blood came out that stopped us dead in our tracks...because I had been done with my period for days. We couldn't explain it. I felt disgusting. But I had no foul smell when I would pee or wipe, and didn't have discharge. We waited for days (I'm sure because he was grossed out) to be intimate again....but we tried to have sex again tonight.....and we smelled it again and I bled on the bed. I was freaking out....searched online....and found this thread. I freaked when I read this thread....because that meant I had a tampon in for over a week!!!! Possibly 10 days!!!! We got long spoons from the kitchen, and a flash light....I had my husband look...he couldn't see anything. He then just reached in and went real deep.....omg...his face!!!! He felt it!!!! He dug it out....and omg....it smelt like death!!! So disgusting. Bit omg...I am so thankful I didn't die from TSS!!! Thank you ladies! I'm glad we are all ok!

Thank you so so much!!!!! The same thing happened to me. 41 years old, horrible smell, spotty discharge for 2.5 months, regular periods, but the MOST AWFUL SMELL! I almost gave up when I couldn’t find anything… after a warm bath and about 15 minutes of searching, I found a tampon lodged so deep!!! I pulled it out and it was an ultra tampon stuck for months!!! THANK YOU for this post. I almost made an appointment to see a doctor.
