just had lip reduction done 13 days ago, cost 2000, they told me consultation was 35 but didn't charge me, I heard it took 2-3 months for results to show or lips to fully swell down, but only 13 days into it already I am seeing results my lips are smaller than before, not that much smaller but if results are suppose to show months from now and it's already showing then it should be much smaller.I was discouraged at first because it was very emtional for me, for anyone that has had this done really but now it's getting better, I still talk a little funny because I"m still numb, I hope that stops soon.Assemetry appears to be okay.

I had my lower lip reduced because of two large "masses" on the in side caused, I believe, from wearing braces. However, the GP I saw thought I should get a biopsy done anyway. Voila! Insurance paid for it. However, when I went to the plastic surgeon, an older doctor, I think he knew it wasn't cancer and I just wanted to have the lower lip reduce. However, this was in 2009 and I think he needed patients. Because he didn't have a surgical center in his office, he had me go to the local hospital. It was a joke - just for a lip reduction.

The whole bill came to close to $6,000 (this is in the SF Bay Area). I paid about $600. And I only had local anesthesia. Felt kind of weird being awake and having them slice through your lip. I had no problems and swelling went down in about 5 days. The only discomfort came when he had to pull out the stitches.
