I am 40 years old. I noticed that my foreskin is longer than it was before. It bothers me and I am not sure what right thing to do is. I think I am too old for circumcision.

I think that circumcision is better to be rule than exception. You are not too old, you are only 40 and long foreskin can be serious disadvantage. The parts under can become irritated and inflamed. I haven’t heard a single guy who was sorry that he had been circumcised.

Well, Mariska, I'm very sorry that I was circumcised. I will never forgive my parents for it. The fact that very few intact men choose to get circumcised should show you that they're pretty darn happy.

I thnk Mariska is wrong. Two of my buddies got cut and both regret having it done. One did it because his fiance asked him to. The other did it because so many other guys are circumcised. When I was thirty-six, I started with a new Primary Care Physician and to get a baseline on my health, we did a full physical. While he was checking for hernia, he mentioned that I should consider getting circumcised. When I asked him why, he gave a bunch of bogus answers like "it's cleaner" or "women prefer it," but not a single medical reason. I didn't go back. That last statement, by the way, I think is completely bogus. I've never had a woman turn me down because of my foreskin. Their reactions have ranged from not knowing the difference to excitement because they had something more to play with.

I came across a very interesting site that discusses how women feel about circumcision.

My wife of 45 years certainly agrees with them, and I love my foreskin. The pleasure derived from it during sex and/or masturbation is something a cut man will never experience. I feel sorry for them if they had no choice about their mutilation.

Having some excess skin removed is Far from a mutilation. And the same is true for someone without a circumcision as far a pain and pleasure. Too each his own IMO. But the Main reason for  circumcision is too prevent S.T.D'S and other skin related infections that can occur from improper cleaning and care needed with a Natural foreskin. So lets not get all crazy about No choice and Mutilation. Instead hope if your ever need someone else to care for you In later life they'll do it RIGHT: too prevent the above mentioned.
Last I knew the Penis worked both ways, and Men are still grateful love Most women love them is all shapes and sizes. ;-)

Removing any part of ones born with foreskin is an altering state and likened to mutilation.I feel I was butchered and not left the way I was created. The cutting leaves me and others with far lessened sensation and stimulation as well as dry head syndrom.

It is possible for foreskins to grow longer, especially if one stretches it. You don't say why it bothers you.

The ancient Greeks believed that long foreskin was a sign of male beauty.

Circumcision may be carried out at any age, but I would not recommend it.

The foreskin is natural, normal, healthy, and its possession contributes to a sense of wellbeing. The foreskin has protective, sensory, sexual, and immunological functions. It is loaded with nerves and is the site of most of the penile sensation. The foreskin is a “specific erogenous zone.” Amputation of the foreskin, which is an integral and important part of the penis has very significant adverse effects. The operation is irreversible. If you get circumcised, you will have the rest of your life to mourn your loss.
