I am 5 weeks pregnant and just started moderate bleeding on Tuesday night and it has continued up to today. I had blood drawn & hcg levels came back at 38 miu which is very low. I am a person with irregular cycles so it's hard to determine exactly when I ovulated. My lmp was 12/15/06 & I think I may have conceived on 1/9/07. I have taken several pregnancy test from 1/15 to 1/24 all coming up positive although slightly faint (3 different brands). I am going back & getting another blood test tomorrow to see if my hcg levels have risen but at this point it doesn't look very good, does it. I already have a 21 month little boy. I had an uneventful pregnancy with him so when I started bleeding this past Tuesday night, I freaked out. This has taken a lot of mental and physical energy and to be honest, I will be happy to put this to rest. Either I am in the denial stage and really just want this pregnancy to be ok or I am still pregnant. I do not have any major cramping, just dull aching every once in awhile & my breasts are still sore. Is it possible that I could have low HCG levels, have moderate bleeding and still be pregnant?
Donamarie, I am also on the same dates as you and have experienced the same sysmtoms as you. However your conception date seems rather late (Jan.09) Unfortunatly your symptoms seem like a apossible start of a miscarrage (I was preggers in Nov/06 6 weeks - misscarrage - same symptoms eventually passed the evidence of conception with the aid of drugs 3 weeks later) Tell your Doc. whats going on and get an early ultra sound from your doctor. I had an early ultra sound on Monday Jan. 22 - Only sac seen no h/b to early yet. Anouther u/s booked for Monday Jan29 - crossed fingers for both of us - keep your information posted - good or bad - K?
