This is why we should still teach real sex ed where you learn about your bodies. Ladies, this is your cervix which is the lower part of your uterus. It closes off when you are pregnant and then dialates (opens) all the way to 10 cm when the baby is ready to come out.

I would suggest that you keep checking it, if it has a tiny little dimple in it and it moves up and down in you vagina according to your menstrual cycle then its your cervix and it's nothing to worry about. you can feel it to know when your period is going to come.. which is cool.

All of us girls seem to have the same problem don't worry if all of us have this then it must be normal! :) I've done some research and I'm almost positive it's the cervix.

Warning, the second one does show a picture of a vagina...but since we are females that shouldn't be a problem! XD What you are feeling in there, is likely just your cervix. It moves around some when you touch it, there is space you go around it with your finger, there feels to be a slight dent at the tip of the lump, it is farther up in the vagina? The links show some pictures, to see if it matches what you are talking about. It is normal. It will come down more around the time of your period (that is where the blood comes from). However, if it is bleeding after sex, masterbation, anything other then the monthly cycle, or your hymen breaking, you should see a doctor. It can be cause by many things, all of which should be seen by a doctor. Good luck ladies! If you have any questions,

I am 23 and gave birth 2 years ago. also have a hard lump. It's large, and very hard and is about the size of a golf ball. It's located inside the back vaginal wall and when I pressed on it, it felt like I was pushing down on my rectum/anus. I felt around my rectum and felt the same lump inside the front of my rectal wall ( the back wall of my vagina ). I have no other symptoms. I Happened on the lump a few months ago while checking the strings to my IUD. I'm very frightened this is cancer.

It's annoying me that a bunch of people are saying "Don't worry, it's your cervix", because for some of these women commenting, IT IS NOT THEIR CERVIX. It's below their cervix.

If it has a small hole in the middle and is smooth, then it's your cervix. It's normal to be able to feel it sometimes.

But the thing I have is BELOW my cervix, behind the front wall and it sometimes gets lower throughout the day when it's had pressure on it. (like a prolapse) But it is too hard to be my bladder.

It seems like lots of women are having this problem, but I can't find any answers.

I dont think this is anything to worry about, i have it on the right side of my vagina about a middle fingers length upward it doesnt bleed and its around the size of a grape, just above my g-spot. im a virgin. By the sounds of it many other women have this too.

well i also  have the exact same thing. and what scares me most is the discharge that comes with it! when having sex with my boyfriend, alot of white sticky stuff from my vagina remains on his penis. im just lucky he is very understanding because i was open to him about it. i havent been able to see a gyna because here the rates to see a specialist are quite high. i really dont know what to do. ive searched online for home remedies or over the counter anti biotics but so far not gotten anything productive. after my research i figured that the growth is a cyst caused by either too much bacteria in the vagina or hormonial imbalance. it is not an STD hence the many virgins having it too. what might helpout most is change in diet. though im not sure it will grow smaller or anything. it causes alot of displeasure during sex because one feels it tapping against the anus. anyone with a solution on how i can get rid of mine, please let me know. thank you :)

You guys aren't too bright... Lol it's your cervix. The indention on it is the opening that leads to your uterus. It's where period blood exits and sperm enters. As long as you have your hands down there, relax and have a little fun.

I don't think it has anything to do with virginity because i have the same thing described and I am not a virgin, also I think it is something to do with your period as I tend to be able to feel it just before my period. I actually didn't know this lump was there at all but when i found it while masterbating i asked my boyfriend and he said it's been there before. I would't be too concerned unless it gets painful or extremely uncomfortable. Although a quick check at the doctors can't harm anyone and may put your mind at rest.

I don't think it has anything to do with your virginity because I'm not a virgin and I have the same problem. Last night I just had an itch and it almost felt inside my vagina so I felt around and about 2 inches in near my g spot I felt this lump that is never been there before I'm close to my period could it be because of that???????
