I'm so glad this isn't only me!!

I've been crying for a half an hour worrying that it's some sort of cancer or it will make me unable to conceive... Now that I know that I'm not the only one with this it makes me feel much better... I've been searching around for the answer for what seems like forever. Thank you to everyone who has posted here.

I have the same thing and I JUST noticed it today when I was in the shower...haha. What IS it? It's SO wierd. It's like, right in the middle of my vagina about a middle finger deep. It doesn't hurt but it feels like I'm touching my anus when I touch it??? I never really noticed it there before and I'm really worried about what it is???? I'm 13, about to be 14 in 4 months, and this is REALLY wierd. I'm too embarrassed to go to my Mom about it so I got on here to see if anybody had the same problem as well. I was shocked when I found out that all of these people have it, too! It must be a normal thing if all of these girls have it...either that or it's a very wide-spread problem. Somebody please let me know what this is! I've never had sex before but wonder if this will like get in the way if it does happen? I'm due to start soon so I'm wondering if it is just part of my period? Please help!

You see, i'm 15 and I have the same problem as all you other women. I'm not a virgin and I have sex often but I havent lately cause I have a 2 inch cyst in my ovaries and i'm absolutely terrified. I took a PAP smear on the 29th of November 2011 and the results came back abnormal. They've asked if I could schuedule another appt. As far as my cyst, i'm not sure whats all gonna happen. I doubt its cancer but just keep your heads up and have positive thoughts. I read something about it being a Sebaceous Cyst and the gland was blocked but WebMD.com couldn't really give me a treatment. Maybe we should all try to find what we can?

For those of you who are saying that it is just the cervix, please stop. Personally, I know where my cervix is and I know that this lump is not my cervix. It's very hard and is on the posterior wall of my vagina. When I push on it, I can feel pressure on my anus. I have had the lump for about three weeks now and it has not shifted position at all, although I believe that it may have grown. I am not a virgin but I have never had a child, and I am too young to be at risk for any sort of cancer.

My guess would be that this is endometriosis. From what I've read, endometriosis can cause cysts to grow in a woman's vagina and that this condition may occur in up to 10% of women.

I don't know what this is, but I am planning on getting it checked out in the next couple of weeks and will let you all know what my doctor says. If anyone has any idea what this could be, please let me know. Once more, I am 100% sure that this is not my cervix.

Ok, I have the same thing (exactly as you all have described) I'm not sure what it is either but I only noticed it after my 3rd child. Just FYI to those panicking, I have 5 children now, it hasn't stopped me from conceiving or even delivering my children naturally) BUT I would also like to add, I hadn't noticed it while pregnant and none if my drs or obstetricians noticed it either. Next stop for me is the gynocologist though, the bleeding has worsened to every time my husband and u have sex :( I don't think it's warts and definitely don't think it's my cervix (trust me I know what my cervix feels like and it's much deeper than this 'growth'

I am 18, and I've been with my boyfriend for almost two years. Around Valentine's Day last year, I had a miscarriage. But about two months before that, he found a lump (not the baby, this was pre-pregnancy). It's been coming back periodically, and it's been getting harder. I don't check frequently enough to know if it even goes away, but I finished my period last week, and I was curious, so I checked. It's about a middle finger length in me and about a quarter sized, hardened lump with soft tissue on top. It's on my vaginal wall, and when I press on it, i get a sharp pain and it feels like it's pressing on my rectum. It doesn't bleed, but last fall it gave me so much discomfort that I couldn't have sex for about two weeks, let alone use tampons. I mentioned it to my doctor during my yearly physical last fall, but when she looked, she said she didn't see it. I'm currently across the country from my doctor, boyfriend and Mum, and my insurance is specified to my state. I did some online research, and came up with the fact that it could be a cyst. Either way, I'm still freaking out and won't be back home until June. Anyone else get some answers?

I have 2 grown up children and have had a hysterectomy with removal of my cervix but i have this lump too so i know for certain this is not the cervix!! It is quite a big fleshy lump which seems to 'fill' the vagina but you can move it sort of up and around. It is soft not hard so not sure if its the same as you girls have but its worrying all the same. I dont have a partnet right now so not sure if it would interfere with sex. Its about 2 inches into the vagina. I wondered if it was a prolapse of some kind. Im gonna make an appointment to see the doc this week to find out what it is, if i get anywhere i will let you know.

I found the same thing inside my vagina. I'm 16 and not a virgin. It has a slit in it, is hard, but I can move it around. It scared me to death, is it a tumor? I really don't want to go to the doctor, but if you girls find out what it is please tell me!

Well i went to the doc and she reckons she couldnt see a lump even though i can so i tried showing her but she didnt know what i was talking about so i felt stupid. So i asked if everything looked normal in there and she said yes so i assume this lump thing is part and parcel of the vagina. The only thing she did say was i had a slight swelling/protrusion of the bladder like a mini prolapse which has been caused by too much straining to go to the loo as im constipated, so has given me laxatives and said not to strain as i could make it worse.

So girls all i can say is i think the vagina is meant to have a sort of lump at the beginning maybe to protect it?
