Hey,
I have a lump situated in the bottom corner sitting below my eyebrow on the curve of my nose. The lump is of skin color, has a diameter of .5cm & doesn't come to a point. I have had it for around 3 years & it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I have been to a gp about it & he said it was probably a pimple that has formed & has not released the stuff inside or it could be a skin growth over the top. With saying that it has no way of popping or releasing & i don't think it would as it's not that big its just in the worst possible place. He didnt seem very interested with the details as i was his last patient. He just said it would have to be cut out & would leave a scar. So i have a few questions if you could answer them it would be appreciated.
What is this lump known as?
Is cutting it out the only way? If not what products can be used?
If cutting is only way can the gp do it?

Thankyou

I think you're going to have to go to a more sympathetic and effective gp with this one. I don't have any particular knowledge, (I'm an experienced adult, not a medical professional), and in any case, to diagnose without seeing would be a little tricky, to say the least.

And anything near the eye should be treated with extreme care, for obvious reasons. As the carpenters used to say - measure twice, cut once: this is not an area where you want a mistake.
