Dear Vicks
Perhaps you are feeling enlarged glands, or even gland cysts - bartholin's or skene's (paraurethral) glands
Your description slightly confuses me as you refer to your hymen, yet you are sexually active. If sexually active means sexual intercourse, then your hymen has probably been destroyed.
A Bartholin’s gland ...
- is one of a pair of pea-sized glands.
- is found just behind and either side of the labia minora that surround the entrance to the vagina.
- is not usually noticeable because they are rarely larger than 1cm (0.4 inches) across.
- secretes fluid that acts as a lubricant during sex. The fluid travels down tiny tubes (ducts) into the vagina.
- duct may become blocked; it will fill with fluid and expand, becoming a cyst.
- cyst can stay small and painless and may not cause any symptoms
- cyst can become infected, which can cause a painful collection of pus (abscess) in the gland.
The paraurethral (skene's) glands are involved also in sexual lubrication, and are linked with 'squirting'

It is always best to check out any concerns with a doctor or nurse at your surgery. There is probably nothing to worry about, but I think it is better to be safe than sorry. Infections can occur, particularly when sexually active.
Hope this helps as a start.
