I am also Rh negative. I have had Scleroderma for 10 years and have often wondered if there is a connection. I have three other sisters who are perfectly healthy and not Rh-negative. I am the second born of the four girls.

I just thought of the Rh negative factor, and was lead to these posts. My Mother, Brother, myself and my son are all Rh neg. We have symptoms ranging in fatigue, muscle aches, headaches. I've had a swollen knee, finger... each so swollen that they have needed surgery. I still have a swollen mass on the side of my knee cap. I have a lot of neck and hip aches. We all have sensitivity to light at night. My mother and brother are being treated for Lime Disease and have been treated for 3 years now.. without seeming to get better. I have been tested for Lupus, lime and a hole bunch of others over the course of the last 3 years and no one has a clue. They think it's rare for a 35 year old to have such severe arthritis. Last month I had some labs come back with a positive result have having Mono... but I was not sick. I haven't been sick in years. If anyone has any answers of theories please let me know, I'm very concerned with my 5 year old, who seems to have a bad case of arthritis himself.

I, too, have just been diagnosed with RA by a sports medicine doctor (also our family physician) and now that I am reading this, I wonder if it's not lupus. I was just looking up information on Rh - blood issues diseases and came across this thread. I am Rh A- and I have high blood pressure that is being controlled by medication and even though I haven't had testing done yet, he put me on Morbic once a day. The only trouble is, I can't stand taking it. It makes my heart skip beats and pound really hard. Feels like a heart attack.
On a good note, I rarely ever get sick with the flu or colds. I do have a bit of pleurisy in my lungs though. Getting regular cancer screenings too. Can't be too careful. Glad to know there are others like me who are looking into this!

I came here running a search to see if there could possibly be a connection to kidney disease and rh-blood. I have a daughter(foster) who was diagnosed with lupus at 14. The damage already done to her organs has left her critical. Myself and another foster mom would donate a kidney but both of us are rh-negative and we both have kidney disease and can't. She is also rh- ......so sad :(

I have just tested positive for lupus and I am Rh neg. I am 43 and have been searching for years to find what was causing my health problems and no doctor (and I have been to alot) has ever mentioned or asked about being Rh neg.

Hello. I am the same as you. I was told by a doctor that I have Lupus, however the specialist told mep the test came back negative & I have not been back since 2006. (5yrs ago) My symptoms have also worsened over the years & I AM RH NEGATIVE. I recently decided to see if there could possibly be a link between Lupus symptoms & rh negative blood types.
Please contact me if you have learned anything new on this topic.

I was diagnosed with SLE in 2004. You should see a rhuematologist. They are the only doctors who can diagnose lupus. I like the both of you was told in the beginning that I did not have lupus but I made the decision to seek help from a specialist.
I have type B+ blood but my mother has rh- blood. I was wondering if her having rh- is connected to my having lupus.

i was searcing RH neg and Lupus, I know there is a connection. Our blood is different and all the meds and vaccines we take, its like giving a horse or a bird human medicine, It doesn't work, It causes adverse reactions to the immune system. We are on to something here. Something very big.

I am an RH negative female that was just diagnosed with celiac disease. I know they said it is something that usually occurs in women who are of European descent...which is where I also got the RH. celiac disease has ties with lupus & some other things mentioned here. A colonoscopy is no walk in the park, but that is how I found out I had it...
