Those are the same symptoms my sister has. From what she told me, it is hard to diagnose sometimes in the early stages unless your having a flare up. I wish you well and pray that everything comes back ok and maybe a simpler ailment going on!

Wow I am Rh - and just received a positive indicator for Lupus. Currently waiting on further results. I was curious if there was a link to Rh- and Lupus and found this string which makes me think there is.

I have RH negative blood and have struggled with chronic fatigue for many years. I have also been tested for lupus several times but the doctor said despite my symptoms the blood work comes back negative. I wonder if being RH negative weakens the immune system.

Hi

I am Rh negative and have always been ultra healthy  - never had a day odf work for 18 years. Following the birth of my third child who was prem I was not offered anti D - as he was thought to be Rh negative  but was called two weeks later as his new blood tests were saying he was positive and I had a very late anti D injection. In the following year in a period of 3 weeks I was diagnosied with several automimmune diseases including Hashimoto's (underactive thyroide  - due to thyroide being attacked by my immune system), pernicious anemia (can't process B12) and bowel disease, also a heart murmur  I have recently been wondering if these were related to me being Rh negative and if me not geeting the anti D ontime had any impact also - maybe this info is useful to someone.

p.s my sons blood group is still not decided and just says indeterminate blood group on all of his medical letters.

I never post on blog sites, BUT now I am. I have rh negative blood and have had sky high RNP anti bodies in my blood for a year, which are supposed to be 100% positive for MCTD Mixed connective tisue diseise. It basically means I have symptoms of several auto immune disorders, lucky me! I also have had severe migraines and a myriad of other "weird" symptoms for 13 years, including female problems of endometriosis, adenomyosis and multiple ovarian cysts. Also cysts under the arm and in the jaw area. All non cancerous. My body hates me! Could Rh Negative blood have anything to do woth the illnesses?? Why do no doctors seem to see this connection?

I am A- with d antibodies and I have found over the years I am unable to tolerate medications given to me by the doctors.  I have been diagnosed with mild RA and fibromylgia... I have learned to live with the pain for fear of have adverse reactions to the meds.  On the bright side I rarely become ill with the normal round of seasonal problems, such as colds and flu.   I was wondering if others have the same problem.

My though is that medications test are done on primates which have only positive blood... and the medications the approved for human use..  but if one is rh- how are the meds test for our use?  Somehow I do not think the test results would be the same...

I am blood type A Rh Negative (A-) with an A - Mother and an A + Father so I also wonder if my immune system (or my Lupus) is attempting to fight off the RH Positive DNA in my genetic make up that I inherited from my A + Father who, by the way also has an auto immune disorder (Sarcoidosis).

In addition to being A Rh Negative, I have a positive ANA Titer, SLE, Sjogrens, Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia & Restless Leg Syndrome.

My husband is O Rh Positive. I miscarried three times and received Rhogam injections after two D&Cs. I miscarried on my own my third pregnancy. No heart beat for all three pregnancies. I did NOT test positive for the Anticoagulant Antibodies that are a common cause of miscarriage in other pregnant women with Lupus. I FINALLY had a successful pregnancy - a baby boy (: I was taking 5mg of Prednisone daily along with Pre-Natal Vitamins prescribed by my Rheumatologist and Maternal-Fetal Specialist during all four pregnancies. My Progesterone level was low during my fourth pregnancy so I was also prescribed Progesterone Supplements but I can't remember if my Progesterone was low in pregnancies 1 - 3 or if it was even checked. Miscarriages also result from low Progesterone levels so I can only hope my doctor wasn't negligent in running this test BUT I have recently found out from my A Rh Negative, niece who just miscarried her RH Positive baby that her OB will not order ANY tests to determine the cause for miscarriage until his patient miscarries THREE times which is absolutely absurd!! My niece is going to another OB when she and her husband begin trying again.

Has anyone emailed the Lupus Foundation of America to ask if they know of any research into Lupus diagnosis' among Rh Negative patients with an Rh Positive parent? Or, if they have statistics on Lupus patients with the Rh Negative Blood Factor? I am going to do this. Actually, let's ALL do this AND we should also ask our Rheumatologist about this as well. I will post my findings as soon as I have them and I encourage you all to do the same. Best of luck to all of you!!
