I wonder if you have Neuropathy (hot spots) in addition to other things? I am blood type A- and I have Lupus, Sjogrens, Small-Fiber Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg Syndrome & Hypothyroidism so you can very well have more than one thing going on which makes a diagnosis complicated. I've also miscarried three times but regarding your hot spots: the best way for me to describe my Small-Fiber Neuropathy symptoms is it feels like a hot curling iron touches my body randomly & in different locations. I actually described this as "hot spots" to my Neurologist. In addition, I also feel as if all of my skin is very badly sunburned & I also burn "inside" my body. Of course, there are varying degrees of the disease. The hot spots come & go but the all-over burning sensation never stops for me. I use big ice packs made from gallon zipper storage bags & I keep the temperature in my house cold because I am so unbelievably miserable. My Rheumatologist tried several different medicatons for my Neuropathy but nothing helped so I finally went to a Neurologist (Emory) & she prescribed the anti-convulsant drug, Lamictal which is commonly used to control epileptic seizures. I have no idea why this medication works for me or why it's the ONLY medication that has ever given me any relief. Be sure to see a Neurologist if a Rheumatologist can't diagnose you. Good luck!

PLZ... any1 thinking of signing up to that registry think very carefully before doing so. That registry is just a rich man's shopping catalog. If you know anything about rh negs, you know that rh neg blood is the only type they cannot syntheticize or reproduce, and rh negs can only accept rh neg blood for transfusions OR receive rh neg organs. This means, there is NO READILY AVAILABLE SUPPLY in the event someone very important or very rich with rh neg type NEEDS rh neg blood or an rh neg organ. They *could* go to that registry and *pick* an unwitting, non-volunteer "donor". Don't make yourself a target.

Can you share the age of death of Rh negatives you know of ... Dad B- 89, Mom O- 89 and counting? Also do you have source for life expectancy of Rh - and immunity from disease such as mumps, neasles etc.

Hi I am O- with autoimmune SLE, fibromyalgia, CFS, and AFS. It all started after I miscarried my first child. The doctor didnt catch that I was rh- and my husband was A+ until the 72nd hour after D&C. I did receive rhogam in the last possible hour. My health declined from that moment on. I went on to have 5 more children, but have been sick with each one the last three being rh- which makes me wonder if that's all I could conceive. My husband has a job that takes him away for weeks at a time. I notice I feel better when hes not home. I am wondering if sexual relations with an A+ husband could cause autoimmune flareups. They talk about pregnancies and the harm to the baby, but what about the effect on the mother or a rh+ spouse?

Our family is rh negative, with 7 children range from age of 40 to 60. All have been healthy, strong, and sensitive people. No one partakes of drugs, drink, nor smoke. The oldest is a natural healer and psychic, as is the matriarch. To date no one is under any medical care, nor prescription-type medications.

Illness-riddled friends I've known have all improved by leaning toward a more BloodTypeDiet. Mainly because eating foods that are more "friendly" to your specific blood type will not cause INFLAMMATION in the body, which is responsible for many many diseases and conditions, as well as is responsible for faster aging of the body. One can often TELL which foods are bad for the body by taking the food 1st thing in the morning on an EMPTY stomach, and checking one's pulse both before... and after the food has been eaten. If the pulse increases or you can just feel your heart racing, it's BAD for you. Or you may purchase the books like TheBloodTypeDiet, etc.

I am AB(-). My grandmother on my fathers sidewas also rh- and had lupus. Her three sisters also had lupus
I have been tested for autoimmine disease and have been told that I am fine.
I have IBS, I am tired all the time, my body aches, feet cramps, my hair is falling out in clumps (my thyroid is fine.so I've been told), I am cold all the time and have fairly low blood pressure (90/60)
My blood resuls always come back fine and the doctors dismiss it as a cold. I pretty much feel like a zombie lol It seems like doctors soly rely on blood results to come to a conclusion and not want to dig a little deeper.

Hi. I have just read this posting as I have Lupus (2 years) and I wondered if there might be a connection between being RH Negative and this condition. I was searching on the internet and came across this site. Could we do a survey perhaps?

I am Rh negative. I believe I had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in a myriad of autoimmune like problems-all over the board and none uite specific, but mostly like lupus, with severe form of arthritis thats crippling and kidney issues, and a lot of abdominal distention and stress. I think "fibromyalgia" is a category doctors put people in when they don't know what the hell they're doing in medicine and they think its in your head because it is not immediately evident. having a pregnancy with an 0positive father, which got missed and never resulted in birth, I believe I have autoimmune disease triggered by the pregnancy at some point. The way I see it, that baby was half me and half my then spouse and it would make every sense in the world that a retained half foreign object that triggered my immune system via Rh factor could explain my whole gamut of problems-especial things like sollen thyroid and all the syptoms of thyroid disease but absolutely no indication test wise that the disease is there. I believe the problem is in the immune system not the specific oprgans effected and that this may vary according to what genes are responsible for certain developments in a fetus and therefore different than my own in the pregnancy. It may be that trying to rid my body of this ectopic pregnancy has resulted in my body trying to kill me / getting autoimmune on many levels while not on others. It is possible that this could happen in women who receive abortions where removal was not good enough, in women who may have had ectopic pregnancies that were never discovered, in women who may have had early and not noticed spontaneous miscarriage. Women who have had their tubes tied are far more likely to have an ectopic pregnancy.Makes me wonder if you could draw a line between tube tying and lupus/ other autoimmmunities. I think medicine looks the other way from a male prejudice, has no real interest in women's health and gets bored and like any chauvanist pig just lumps wopmen into a "mental issue" category instead of really investigating what the patient attests to. If this were true, an OBGYNs world would explode-liability would be able to be pointed out because it could be avoided. And people might need to be counseled on the idea that having sex with a person who is opposite rh factor can do this to you...maybe even on its own considering what we know about how AIDs is transmitted sexually...maybe just having sex and spilling blood that way could do it. Maybe "fibromyalgia is a disease akin to Aids which is slow and indiious and effects women 99% of the time instead of mainly men ? Did you know it is a common behavior in medicine to refer a patient to the psych division when they complain about syptoms a doctor cannot find a reason for? It is called "buffing and turfing" (The House of God) Given history, that probably means a lot of women get sent to psych for what may be an autoimmune phenomenon re, lated to child birth and sex-CAUSED by men's blood getting in their blood, including ailments related to autoimmune disorders like depression. In addition, I have read that lymes disease does this sort of thing to the immune system, and since ticks feed on blood, not just once, they could be triggering this disease in like fashion-meanwhile the medical community has on the one hand begun to suspect lymes is sexually transmitted as well, and yet continues to diagnose quickly with fibromyalga rather than do the complicated testing to diagnose lymes disease. I probably solved a sh*t load of medical questions because I am a woman who doesn't believe people ever only get sick in their mind-its always something outside that makes the whole organism unwell-your self wont do that-unless its become something other than you somehow. Could be we should counsel not having partners or marrying outside your Rh factor!
