I have never considered myself as a person that post on blogs, however this thread forces me to, there are absolutely no withdrawal symptoms from quitting smoking weed, even if you are a heavy user such as myself, I smoked several times per day for the past year, and on occasion smoked very large amounts on the weekend, and I have gone 'cold turkey', if you can even call it that in the case of weed, with no "withdrawal" what so ever. I am eating fine, I am sleeping fine and I am not at all irritable, people who experience such symptoms are people that are people experiencing placebo, its all in your head, I can understand and somewhat relate to the loss of appetite, but this is only because weed improves your appetite to begin with, so the sudden change could cause this reaction stopping smoking weed is the same as stopping brushing your hair in the morning, its just a habbit, man the f**k up and don't spread this propaganda supporting false information, if weed is making you not accomplish things in life, then you have more than 'dependency' on weed to worry about

Its purely mental which then manifests itself physically, e.g you get paranoid that you will struggle to sleep and hey presto you are up all night. It's all in the mind, if you are convinced that you wont sleep, then you wont, if you tell yourself weed is your only hope of a good nights sleep then you are in the wrong mental state. Stopping smoking MUST be a positive, otherwise you set yourself up for failure.

Actually, marijuana is highly addictive. People who have a long family history of any sort of addiction is able to become addicted to ANYTHING.

Marijuana can be addicting if you have an addictive personality, BUT...

If it helps you with symptoms, they MAY be issues you are currently afflicted with that it eases.

After one quits smoking it is common to have a temporary loss of apetite, but it still based on the level of activity.  So, if you workout and release endorphin (like weed does), then you will balance things out, and additionally gain back your hunger as if you were smoking, but it may take a lot of working out depending on how much you smoked (how many end orphans your body is used to)

The issue is that smoking only temperately helps because you are getting the THC from burning it instead of activating it with low heat (275-300) in olive oil to preserve the THC and CBN and CBD, ect. and then letting your liver process it will result in a different affect, similar to that of an edible.

To get a permanent affect without the dependence part you need to research Simpson Oil.

It is just an activated extract that works like edibles, but you take small amounts so you do not get high, but get the calming and healing effects.  Easy to make as well and goes longer than smoking it does.  A very small amount, such as .05 grams will do the trick, then taper that up to .1 and .15 and .2 until you can tolerate a gram in the morning without feeling high.

When you reach this point, you will feel a natural calm and peacefulness, but not a high, even when smoking.

At this point, the more oil the take, the more memories recover and bodily things re-generate.

From personal experience :)

quitting smoking marijuana is simple. i don't really get why people say they have so much trouble with it. IVe been smoking on and off for 8 years have gone through several spurts of on and off quitting and never had any problems. Its more in our heads than anything. People think about it too much and thats what causes the anxiety and insomia. If you just keep busy and dont think about it it will be fine. The worst part (even though its not that bad) is over within a week. People make way too big of a deal of quitting there are no physical sympotms of withdrawl its only in our heads just simply not thinking about it can help ease the symptoms

Me and my partner have been everyday smokers for over 8 years, since the day we met basically. We have wanted to quit for a while and have recently taken the plunge. We are 2 days weed free now and we are going out of our minds! We are sitting here like zombies, hardly talking to each other and when we do talk we usually end up in an argument! We know eventually this will go away and the feeling of extreme boredom, feeling like there is nothing else to do and the edginess will go away but we dont know how long it will take to finally feel normal again. does anybody have any advice or ideas. We both work so we didnt really smoke often during the day anyway and we are generally ok until about 8pm at night when everything is done, kids in bed and we are sat in front of the TV, this is when we would usually break out the weed. But now we are just sitting here on edge in silence craving a dooby! HELP!!

How long will take for people to see strong strains of marijuana as hard as other drugs?

How many more people need to suffer from this just because the the media keep saying this is harmless?

This feeds a lot of addicts that are feeling good defending their drug and laughing of the ones who warn about the reality of this drug. These addicts are laughing today, but will cry tomorrow. That´s very sad. Happend with me, with many other people and will keep happening if the Media/TV/Movies continue to show a false image of this drug.

"Serious insomnia" is a physical side effect. The sleep centers in the brain stem will not throttle down. That is not an attitude problem---it involves brain chemistry.
