I can tell you what I know about this subject. I awoke one time with severe abdominal pain and blood literally running on the floor it was so heavy, along with huge clotting. I called up my gynecologist (I had a cystecotomy/hysteroscopy just 3 months before this breakthrough bleeding...) They asked me to come in right away. They gave me a blood and urine pregnancy test... both confirmed a high level of pregnancy hormones. I had completely miscarried at what the estimated was just short of the end of my first trimester. (I didnt even know I was pregnant because I had been on the Depo shot for 2 years prior, and never had a period anymore...) So, my advice to you is, go get checked out. Healthcare providers have to help you whether you have insurance or not. Otherwise you can check our a planned parenthood who can cut you a deal, ecspecially if you are under 18. I was an id**t for laying around and bleeding all day thinking I had a heavy period. I lsot so much blood I ended up in the hospital much longer then needed because I waited around. These types of things need immediate attention.
