I injured my foot at work six weeks ago. They took x-rays at the ER, but said there was nothing wrong. I also had major facial injuries which required reconstructive surgery. Last week I went to see my surgeon and told him my foot was still very sore, still hobbling around on it, so he sent me to an orthopedist. I saw him today and was informed that I have lisfranc fracture, but the bones have already healed in the wrong location, too late for surgery. He sent me to get orthotic inserts for shoes, and I have to see him again in a month. He said they may have to fuse the bones. Anyone been through this and waybe know if I will have to have the surgery. Sure sounds like it from the postings I have read.
