Hello. I had MN and had surgery on my right foot between 3/4 toes on July 31. This Friday will be 4 weeks and I still can't put weight on the ball of my foot. I can walk on my heel, but not for long. I have to use crutches for longer walks. Only a few days after the surgery, I did loose my balance and step down on my right foot and OMG I thought I was gonna die. A week later I did it again!!! OUCH!!!! I went to the dc last Friday (it was week early) because my foot was real swollen and it was bruised underneath on the arch. He was afraid it might be a blood clot, but he rulled that out. He also thought it might be a stress fracture, but after an x-ray, ruled that out too.

For some reason all of the pictures I've seen and articles I've read, nobody has said anything about a lot of bruising. I am just wondering if I did some damage inside to cause the bruising. The whole bottom of my foot, the left side of my heel and the top, by the incision is really bruised bad.

Another thing is that on the ball of my foot, it's still hard, swollen and it feels like my foot is going to explode when I do try to put pressure on my foot.

I hear from some people that it'll take awhile to heal, but then I hear that I should be walking normal by now. I just don't know what to think! All I know now is that it hurts like crazy and like alot of you I wish I would've never had the surgery in the first place.

Good luck to all of ya'll.

I think that you may have ended up damaging your foot a little when you stepped down on it like that. The only way to find out is to consult with the surgeon who actually performed the surgery. Have you done that yet?
