I am premenopausal and only have one ovary, but since my last MRI I now seem to have slight bleeding and clotting every week. I had 5 MRI last year but only had allergic reaction we thought to the blood thinner which I no longer take. But I now wonder if the allergy was a reaction to the MRI since now I am sure the bleeding in related.

I've been having MRIs with contrast for about 14 years now. I have a health condition that has to be monitored, and an MRI is the only way they can see any changes in it. I've probably only had 3 or 4 periods since I was 13, and I find this very odd. I'm wondering if maybe MRIs could have caused this in any way. I'm 19 and I never told my mom or any of my health care providers because I'm scared. I'm scared to know the truth, I'm scared that I may find out there's something seriously wrong with me even though I know there is. I get random cramps out of nowhere sometimes that last for a few minutes and are very painful. My last period lasted about 2 months and was excruciating. This was almost a year ago.

Just so it's logged somewhere...
I had my normal period Christmas week. I had a CT scan on 10th Jan. The day after this my period started. It was early but a normal 5 day length. On Feb 2nd I had an MRI. 2 days later I had another period, again way early. Heavy so far but only 2 days into it. I'll see how it goes.... El.Ev.

I'm in exactly the same position, MRI 3 days before and now 6 days late....I'm a 17 year old virgin, so pregnancy is not a valuable explanation... I'm getting kind of scared.

Ok there has to be some connection. I'm 52 and in menopause and had an MRI yesterday (no contrast). Woke up this morning with excruciating pain and now bleeding heavy. WTH?

This sounds like my situation. I'm 51,in menopause,, stopped having periods about 4 years ago, then had my first MRI (no die) on Wed., and today,Friday, I had a period. Medium flow, cramps, achey back, etc. I'm praying it stops quickly and I go back to no menstrual cycle.

I had an MRI with contrast a couple weeks ago (mid cycle) and started spotting, which was very weird..I know that doesn't answer your question..but it's just letting you know that I think it messed with mine too.
