Prozac for Panic attacks!!! Consider that depression may be a mis- diagnosis. Agoraphobia is a fear of being around people or places and panic attacks usually have happened in places like school, work, malls etc. Therefore people develop agoraphobia because going to places where they have had their first panic/anxiety attacks becomes paralyzing. I have experienced this in my early twenties. There is a book called Panic and Anxiety Attacks. Not sure who the author is but see if you can locate it on Amazon. What does cbt stand for? My 14 year old son and very bad social anxiety and gets really nervous in front of other kids. He just told me that he can't stand how nervous he gets in the gym locker room when he has to change into his gym shorts. I feel so bad for him and wish i could help him any way I can
