one of his eyes appears to be a little puffy not a whole lot but it is noticable he doesn't have a fever and it doesn't appear to bother him what might this be? He has an appointment in 2 days but was wondering if i should take him in early and if this is cause for concern?

Hi kokoboy. Well, you have done a very good deed concerning your son's puffy eyelid by making an appointment as soon as possible because that is the key thing: preventing the condition from further spreading. I have had a similar issue with my right eye and when I went to see a doctor he told me that it was conjuctivitis and he prescribed me some pills. It passed on it's own after a couple of weeks but it was annoying as hell. So, you shouldn't be worried just yet because in a day or two, it shouldn't make much difference. Hope it turns out to be okay.

I dont think l would be overly concerned, when babies are born they take a little while to adapt from being inside their mother, what i am meaning is they have been in such a snug place for so long, they sometimes come out a little squashed up.

I dont think i would be worried, if it is not worrying the baby, and their is no discharge coming from the eye, or the eye is red, yes ask at your appointment

And congratulations on being a new parent , it is a precious time :-)
