I don't think that smoking weed had an effect on the test but I could be wrong I'm 8 months pregnant and before I found out I was smoking weed but my test came back positve I stopped smoking for obvious reasons I would tell your friend to stop smoking and get testing by the doctor just to be on the safe side.
