i had an abortion on sept 19 i was 7 weeks 2 days pregnant. i didnt go for my followup until oct 23 (it was very late i know, but it was really hard to schedule).
so i went in and the doctor started examining me and asked if i had had sex since the procedure, i said yes. he said my uterus is larger than what it should be and he made me take a pregnancy test. the test came out negative but he said if i dont get my period by this coming friday, to take another test (friday will be my 6th week after the procedure).
i havent had my period yet and i normally get signs that im about to get it, and im not having any signs of it. and im experiencing some of the signs that made me concerned that i was pregnant before
-pulling/pinching feeling in my uterus
-soooo tired, and cold-like feeling
-body aches
im really nervous about all of this. i dont think there is any possible way that i could still be pregnant..
what do you think? and why would my uterus still be large enough for the doctor to be concerned about me being pregnant? the procedure was 6 weeks ago, and i was only 7 weeks... please help

The pregnancy hormone can stay in your system for quite a while after a procedure. But the uterus should have returned to it's pre pregnant state way beforehand.
After a procedure such as yours, it is normal not to have a period for up to 8 weeks but it usually shows up between 4 and 6 weeks. Still pregnant is not the concern, but pregnant again is the bigger issue.
You said you have sex since your abortion, did you use protection? A condom maybe, anything???
The chances of getting pregnant right after an abortion is very good..

i started taking my birth control (allesse28) again for a period of 2 weeks (during this time is when my boyfriend and i had sex) but i stopped it because it was making me very ill. ive got a new perscription for Yaz that i will be starting as soon as im finished my next period. we didnt use a condom due to allergys, but he did not ejaculate in me. he pulled out every time.
