Ok, in order to get help, I suppose I should tell my whole story.

I'm a 22 year old male and on March 7th, 2009, I was stricken down with gallbladder disease. I was relatively unhealthy at the time. I WAS 6'4" and 335 pounds. Come my last weigh-in at my doctor I am 6'4" 224 pounds. So here's how it all started...

In March I was hit with gallbladder disease but didn't know it. I thought it was a sickness that ended up lasting the weekend but by Monday I started to feel better. I went out with some friends, got a sandwich at Subway, came home and watched a movie and went to bed. The next day I felt fine until about 7:00 PM where I was hit with the worst case of nausea I've ever had. I stood over the toilet trying to vomit for about 30 minutes before I finally went to my bed to lay down and it started to pass.

Again I started to feel better but not by much so I went to a doctor that Thursday and was tested for Hepatitis A and Mono, both came back negative but I had the bile count or whatever it is was high. So the doctor said it probably WAS one or the other and I went home to rest up hoping it would go away. Fast forward 3 weeks and I'm still in horrible condition.

I went back and the doctor AGAIN tested me for Mono and Hepatitis A which again came back negative. I decided to seek a second opinion but not until June. June 24th I was told it was probably gallbladder disease and an ultrasound was scheduled with a possible heida scan. The ultrasound was all that was needed and I was set for surgery July 2nd. Because of insurance reasons, my surgery was pushed back to July 24th.

Now the 100 pound weight loss happened all within the 4 month span. My nausea was constant with my gallbladder and forced me to eat very bland food. Mainly white rice and lots of water. The problem was, I was in such terrible shape I could only eat about 2 cups of white rice a day. I was basically starving but my appetite was completely gone due to my nausea.

After surgery, I started eating again and getting my strength back. It felt good to eat normal food again and I did so without very many problems at all. For the first month I had dizziness and pressure in my head but after I got back to eating normal, it went away completely. The last 3 months however, have been a different story.

After about 2 weeks of off and on upset stomach, that finally went away too but what I started to experience still plagues me to this day. About every one or two weeks I would get sick-ish. I'd feel very hot, I'd get nauseous, a little light headed, and feel very fatigued. It still happens to this day and after several attempts to get this treated, my doctors have come up with nothing. They say my blood work is "excellent" and they don't know what else it is.

My other problem is my throat. I have this problem where every time I eat something, I feel as if I may throw it up. My stomach doesn't hurt, and I feel fine and it doesn't always happen. But sometimes I get this feeling in the back of my throat like it wants to come up. Call it a lump if you will. Other than that feeling in my throat, my body feels fine.

My doctor put me on Nexium 40 MG for what she believes is GERD. But that part doesn't bother me nearly as much as my episodic attacks of nausea, lightheaded, fatigue, etc. In October I just started a very good civil service job at the Air Force Base here but I constantly go to work feeling great and then occasionally become lightheaded. I have no clue what's causing this but it's pretty much ruining my life.

Anything would help at this point. My doctors don't know, I don't know, and it's dragging me into depression.

Also, I had a bad case of motion sickness which has seemingly gone away but I'm so afraid it'll pop back into my life that I'm afraid to eat before I drive. It hasn't bothered me in about a month but driving is a big part of what I do and I don't need it in my life. Motion sickness pills help but don't stop it.

Please, please, please help me. I'm too young to feel this bad.

I have had my gall bladder removed about eight years ago so I will give you what I know about living w/o a gall bladder. My food consists of all most NO fat. When I go out to eat and someone offers me a taste, I will have no more than 3 bites of something fried for 24 hours. If I have 4 bites then I will feel nauseated for the rest of the day/evening and have to lay down and close my eyes. For meat I eat chicken, turkey or fish. I eat hamburger or some other kind of red meat about once a month. I use olive oil (1t) and vinegar for dressing my salad. If I choose to, I eat peanut butter once a day. I eat lots of raw vegetables, or getting started, steamed in a wok. For digestion, I take a probiotics early in the morning 20 minutes before food. In the evening, I have a smoothie made w/ frozen fruit, rice milk and fruited kefir. This keeps me going. I think if you try fixing your food and finding out what works for you and what doesn't, that may help. For your illness a journal a journal is helpful. Keep it simple, what time, what you ate, how you felt. There will be a doctor for you––talk to people to find out about their doctors.

I've been experiencing something similar for the last 4 or 5 months. I too have my gull bladder out, but it was taken out 3 or 4 years ago and was fine till 4 months ago.
Are you on any daily medications? I thought perhaps mine might be being caused by one of my medications, but I can't be sure which, since none of them were new 4 months ago.
If you find an answer, please repost.

may be it is a side effect from some medication that you are taking? My husband had similar problem with BP meds and stopped it. Did you get your ears checked for vertigo?
