i have the same thing just happened like 10 min. ago only from the left side i had a cold for over a week and its just about gone makes me think its my left ear but who knows have not run across anything major about it so i would not worry to much

I had this happen to me over the weekend. Four distinct times over around 24 hours, I had clear, watery, transparent orange liquid spill uncontrollably out of my nose. At least once it happened when I tilted my head rapidly. I don't recall about the other times.
I used a sublingual sinus homeopathic (I don't know the name of it - my mom gave it to me) a few times a day for the second day I had the orange nasal discharge and the day after that.
I also used an over the counter saline nasal spray (Ayr) several times per day starting the second day and continuing for a few days after.
Today (Tuesday - I had the symptom Friday and Saturday), I went to my university's health centre and got checked out by the nurse. My nose and ears looked perfect and I didn't have a fever (though my temperature had been low the day before, possibly to do with the weather being cold). She said that it was probably either orange stuff that had come up from my throat from having eaten yam casserole on Thursday and Friday or else some sort of minor acute sinusitis.
I got my wisdom teeth extracted several months ago on the side of the orange drip, and so it could also have been something finally flushing out from then.
By way of prior and following symptoms:
I had a cold or bad allergies for around 2 weeks prior, and had been feeling better the week leading up to the symptom.
At the time of, I felt otherwise perfectly fine, had very little mucus, and the only other problem was that I had a mild headache for a few days - this probably related to mild dehydration. I was also on the 3/4th days of my menstrual cycle, in case that had anything to do with it.
Afterward, I have had some sinus pain (likely a stress headache combined with a bit of actual nasal stuff), a very mildly stuffy nose, and some post nasal drip with a productive cough.

yeah im mike (15) and i have the same problem!
i was at the doctor about 2 weeks ago with a bad headache, cold symptoms, and a slight fever. she said it was probably just a regular cold and a migraine since ive had previous problems with headaches but i also had red in my mucus which she said it was probably streaks of blood from blowing your nose to often or to hard. Now 2 weeks later i feel a little better but when i try looking down i get a terrible ache and i have orange mucus as well as regular pains in my sinuses. I guess these are just post or present signs of a sinus infection.

I read above that someone had sore teeth, I think I had an abscess on one of my molar teeth. The doctor couldn't look at it and so I just waited it out. It did coincide with a cold which I think caused the blood in the snot. And I was confused as to how the snot was orange (which I thought was blood mixed in but it seemed too well mixed) on one side of the tissue, and green yellow with blood clots in on the other side of the tissue.
I have no evidence as to what it could have been, just that it goes away within a few days. I had visions of being famous from a new nasal condition, but hey :$

I've been up late stressing and rain has been coming down...I was scared to see the bright orange mucus coming down I thought I had a nose bleed till I got up and saw the oddity...I just got better from a cold this blows if I am sick again
